Day 1 With My Featured Author Brita Addams

I have had the awesome privilege of getting to know a brilliant author by the name of Brita Addams. She is such a gracious author giving of her time to help out a person if they need it. Which includes little ole me. She had asked me if I had a button she could post that stated I had reviewed her book. When I stated I didn't have any buttons yet she offered to make me a button if I so wished. I was truly touched by her offer. That like never happens to me. An author asked if I would like them to make my button. How could I refuse such a gracious offer like that. So needless to say that made me feel special. So when my friends and I decided to create a side blog (it just means apart from our main blogs) I thought what better person to kick off this new venture with than with Miss Brita Addams. When I sent her an e-mail last night I had my fingers crossed and hoped that I would just get a response. Not only did I get a response but I got it like within a half an hour of sending it. I just figured she would say something like "I am really flattered BUT..." Not because she would not care but just because I know her book just came out that same day and she would probably be so busy that doing anything right now would be a little to hard. Instead I got an e-mail with a book bloggers dream inside. Not only would she grant us an interview but she would help us with whatever we needed. I don't know about you but to me that was like an early Christmas day present. So here we now are having the rest of this week dedicated to this fabulous author. We start out with her first book in The Sapphire Club Series Serenity's Dream.

Serenity's Dream by Brita Addams
Genre: Historical
Publisher: Noble Romance Publishing, LLC
eBook: 163 pages
isbn13: 9781605921235
Special Content Alert: Voyeurism, exhibitionism, spanking, BDSM, extreme anal play
Age: Adult 18+

In 1814 London, Serenity, the long-estranged wife of Lucien Damrill, suddenly reappears after she hears of the sex club he owns. Rumors of his insatiable sexual appetites warm her body and her mind. She says craves his spankings, and the ecstasy of his lovemaking. But is this the real reason she's back or is it a well-thought out ruse?

Lucien Damrill, though mistrustful, is willing to take her at her word and institutes a spanking regimen that Serenity simply adores. Lucien’s sexual abilities are beyond her wildest dreams and soon they fall into a frenzied, erotic life with the Sapphire Club as their backdrop.

Bliss doesn’t last nearly long enough however. When someone from her past suddenly appears, her deceit is uncovered and soon her husband’s skepticism is accompanied by all-out apathy. Can they overcome the obstacles and create the life of which Serenity dreams?

Serenity’s Dream

Brita Addams

A somewhat disheveled Lucien Damrill entered the sanctified environs of his library, a well-outfitted cave for the bear he was becoming. It being Thursday, he’d just finished his usual session with Lady Amelie Foxworth, an insatiable beast of a woman, who could be thrashed bloody, fucked insensible and still beg for more. A more jaded woman he’d never met and he’d seen it all. He was tired, aroused and feeling rather beastly himself.

With a compelling need for the burn of his favorite libation, he walked directly to the rosewood sideboard and poured himself a generous measure of his finest French brandy. He turned to make his way to his desk when he was stopped in his tracks.

Before him, on a red and gold striped Hepplewhite chair sat someone whom he thought, nay, prayed never to see again. "How in bloody hell did you get in here?"

"Why, dear, is that any way to speak to your dearly beloved wife?"

Lucien cringed at the thought, feeling his aroused cock wither. "It is simply by an aberration that state exists between us. You are no more my wife than this glass is," he spat out, holding up his cut-glass snifter with the figure of a nude woman as the stem.

"It may surprise you to learn I have returned and wish to make up for all of the years I have neglected you."

Lucien affected a laugh, remembering how his beloved wife, the former Serenity Malin, had met him at the altar, stiffly consummated their union and promptly hied herself off to the country, where she’d resided uninterrupted for the last ten years.

"Serenity, dear, I have not felt neglected in the least. You really shouldn’t have troubled yourself with thoughts of my welfare, for I have given yours less thought than I would give a stranger. But wait, we are strangers, are we not?"

Serenity maintained a haughty mien. Lucien saw how her bottom lip quivered ever so slightly. Knowing his wife wasn’t given to dramatic displays, he knew he’d struck a chord.

He would also have been blind had he not noticed that in ten years his wife had matured into a rather lovely woman. Her chestnut hair was stylishly coiffed, with curls framing her heart-shaped face and tendrils flowing from the loose knot at the back of her head. Her breasts were nearly overflowing her bodice, making Lucien imagine releasing them from their bonds and burying his face between them. He quickly dismissed his licentious thoughts, remembering who this woman was and why he held not a single pleasant thought concerning her.

"I am serious, Lucien, I wish to be a real wife to you. That’s why I have come back." He felt her icy blue eyes follow him as he paced the room.

"It would have nothing to do with the fact I am now wealthy and you wish to relieve me of some of my wealth?"

"How can you say such things? You have always provided for my needs and I could ask for no more."

"Then why are you really here?"

"I have heard things about you and they intrigue me."

Lucien laughed again. "It seemed nothing about me ever intrigued you before. Why now?"

"Oh, but you are wrong, my dear. You have always fascinated me, but just recently I learned about the club and what you do here."

"The club? You have come back because of the club? Serenity, I have owned The Sapphire Club for five years and you have just heard of it? I must see to it my man of business does a better job of spreading the word." He was more suspect than ever since the club wasn’t news, unless of course, one had been living under a rock for five years.

"I was attending a house party in Yorkshire and overheard some gentlemen talking. They said some very provocative things, and I was fascinated to say the least."

"Provocative, you say. Such as?"

"Well, it would seem they were under the impression you ‘blister arses and fuck ‘em insensible.’ That’s an exact quote."

Lucien chuckled at hearing his once prim and proper wife cursing like a gob in a sleazy tavern. "Yes, that’s what I do, among other things and I have a very satisfying life doing so. I fail to see how that would be impetus for you to return to hearth and home."

"Well, when I learned of such things, I found I was curious. If you would perform such services for others, would you offer the same to me?"

If incredulity had a face, it would have been that of Lucien Damrill, for he was undoubtedly the very definition at that moment. "You wish to have your lily-white derriere paddled? My dear, pardon my foray down the path of skepticism, but as I recall, you had no interest in getting naked with me for any reason, a slight omission on your part when you accepted my marriage proposal, as I recall."

"I will admit I was willful." That earned her a loud snort. "I was wrong and I am willing to admit it. Many years have passed between then and now. I have changed. Then to hear you were so, ah, adventuresome, I simply couldn’t believe what I had heard."

Feeling his deuced body betraying him as he spoke, he continued to pace, albeit somewhat less comfortably. "I have created a place where people can come to fulfill their sexual fantasies. As you can see, I have done well, by myself, I will add. Why would I want to have you around my neck, when I worked so hard to forget I even had a wife?"

"I wish to be treated like one of your clients, Lucien. I wish to submit to you completely. I yearn for your discipline and I wish to your satisfy your sexual needs. I am desirous of being all you would wish in a wife. I have much to make up for."

"What has brought about this change of heart? You must admit it is suspect."

"I have been lonely all of these years. When I heard you owned a club where people could go to see their sexual fantasies become reality, I realized I have needs and wish to have them fulfilled. Who better to do that than my own husband?"

"You have sexual needs, Serenity? I find that extremely difficult to believe. You had no use for my cock in the time, albeit one night, we lived together in the holy state of matrimony. I have suspected you found your own fulfillment elsewhere in the time we have been apart."

"Have you, Lucien?"

"I’m a man, what would you think?" He waved his arm and sloshed some of his precious brandy onto the red, cream and blue Aubusson carpet.

"I have never begrudged you. I know I’ve not been a true wife to you, but I wish to change, if you will let me."

"So what you are telling me is you wish to be a wife to me in exchange for having your fantasies become realities?"

"Yes, dear. I believe you would find I am willing to do anything you ask. I have thought long and hard about this and I find the more I think of it the more I wish I’d never left you."

"This would have nothing to do with wanting children would it, because I have no interest in such things."

"No, Lucien, I am past my childbearing years; I was thirty on my last birthday. I gave up that dream about the same time I walked away from you and our marriage. I wish to come back and be a part of the life you have established for yourself."

Lucien’s head was pounding from the long hours he’d put in at the club and most particularly from the conversation he was having with his wife. Traitorously, his cock had heard every word, too, damn it.

It was most unexpected she should suddenly appear, here, at The Sapphire Club. Somehow he’d never imagined that would happen.

"Yes, I would imagine my wealth would appeal to you. The country estate wasn’t enough to entice you to remain there?"

"Lucien, don’t be cruel. I understand you don’t trust me, but I swear to you, I am telling you the truth. I only wish to be your wife in every sense and I ask you allow me to demonstrate my sincerity."

"Fine, if that’s what you wish, bend over the sofa and show me how sincere you really are."

Can't get enough of Brita Addams then stop by all week long for more tasty excepts from her Sapphire Club Series.

  • Blurb:

Fade to Black is the debut novel by award-winning short fiction writer and journalist Morgan Kearns. It is a tempestuous and witty love story, complete with dangerous twists and turns that keep the reader guessing until the very last page. Kate Callahan is a news reporter in Salt Lake City whose life seems to be perfect. Her attentive boyfriend, Jesse Vasquez, is determined to prove his love for her. But the day she steps through the doors of KHB as their newest reporter and meets photographer Rich Spencer, everything changes. There is something about the way he caresses her with his eyes, speaks to her without saying a word, and lights her skin aflame with a simple touch that makes her rethink everything she’s ever known. Ultimately, she is faced with an impossible choice—one that tears her heart in two—which becomes excruciating when fate steps in and decides for her. Walking along a mountain of heartache and regret, Kate struggles to find a world where love does conquer all.

This book was AMAZING. I have been so lucky with reading debut novels because I haven't come across a bad one yet. I was totally hooked from the first page. Rich Spencer and Kate Callahan were such relatable characters. They could actually be friends of mine that's how familiar they felt to me. You even feel for Jesse Vasquez Kate's current boyfriend at the start of the book but you also can't deny the chemistry of Kate and Rich. Rich's wife, at the start of the book, Shea Spencer is a character you dislike pretty much from the word go. She is a paranoid psycho who needs a reality check. Kate and Rich's co-workers Jordan, Olivia, Nate, Roxy, and Dale feel like one big extended family. Even though in the beginning of this book I really liked Kate and Jesse together but I also understood the complete and utter attraction of Kate and Rich. It was so strong that even I change teams from Jesse and Kate to Rich and Kate. I liked the fact that these two characters had to actually fight to get to their conclusion (don't want to give anything away....lol). This book had it all a forbidden romance, an unstable (at best) woman, a jealous boyfriend, heartache, and a happily ever after. Morgan is a great story teller and although I wish there was a little bit more of Shea's psycho mayhem I was completely taken with this book. On a scale from 1-10 I give this book a big huge 10. I think everyone should read this book that is how great I think it is.

After her sister Athena's tragic death, it's obvious that grief-stricken Persephone "Phe" Archer no longer belongs in Los Angeles. Hoping to make sense of her sister's sudden demise and the cryptic dreams following it, Phe abandons her bubbly LA life to attend an uptight East Coast preparatory school in Shadow Hills, MA -- a school which her sister mysteriously mentioned in her last diary entry before she died.

Once there, Phe quickly realizes that something is deeply amiss in her new town. Not only does Shadow Hills' history boast an unexplained epidemic that decimated hundreds of its citizens in the 1700s, but its modern townies also seem eerily psychic, with the bizarre ability to bend metal. Even Zach -- the gorgeous stranger Phe meets and immediately begins to lust after -- seems as if he is hiding something serious. Phe is determined to get to the bottom of it. The longer she stays there, the more she suspects that her sister's untimely death and her own destiny are intricately linked to those who reside in Shadow Hills.

    Review: NightShade by Andrea Cremer

    Cover Image
    Hardcover, 464 pages

While other teenage girls daydream about boys, Calla Tor imagines ripping out her enemies’ throats. And she wouldn’t have it any other way. Calla was born a warrior and on her eighteenth-birthday she’ll become the alpha female of the next generation of Guardian wolves. But Calla’s predestined path veers off course the moment she saves the life of a wayward hiker, a boy her own age. This human boy’s secret will turn the young pack's world upside down and forever alter the outcome of the centuries-old Witches' War that surrounds them all.

Imagine growing up always following the rules and thinking that you know everything about your life and your family, only for it to all fall apart one day, and all because you met a boy.

That is exactly what happens to Calla. All her life she has known how her life was going to turn out and knew what to expect. She knew the rules of her kind and what was expected from her. Calla also understood that she does not get to pick who she loves or gets to marry and she is okay with this. That is until she meets Shay.

Calla tries to push him away and out of her life, but that just isn't possible. She slowly begins to break some rules and do things she should not be doing. She tries to explain to Shay that they can not be and that if anyone found out about what she has done, she will be killed.

Her life has turned upside down in less than a month and she is slowly beginning to lose control of things. She learns that she has been lied to and that her whole life, everything she has been taught, might be a lie.

Before I give away any spoilers (which I might have already) I will just stop here.

NightShade is one of THE BEST stories coming out this year! You will not be disappointed! It has raw action and has one of the most powerful forbidden love stories ever. Let's not forget two amazing guys that you will just fall absolutely in love with! I finished NightShade in less than 24 hours because I could not stop reading. I kept saying to myself one more chapter then bed, but I just couldn't put it down. I want to just keep adding to this review about how much I love this book! This has been the year of amazing books and this is one you will add to your list and still think about for days! A MUST, MUST, MUST, MUST, MUST READ! 5 Stars!

    by Estevan Vega

"Arson Gable feels like a freak. He can create fire. He never asked for it. He never wanted it. But he can't shut it off.

Before now, three things were true: he both loved and despised his grandmother; his life was going nowhere; and he was alone. But when a strange girl—who feels more normal behind a mask than inside her own skin—moves in next door, Arson hopes to find something he's never had: purpose. Using what he fears most about himself, Arson must face his consuming past and confront the nightmare that is his present as he walks the fine line between boy and monster. Dark, moody, and breathtakingly relevant, Arson, the chilling chronicle of an isolated boy with unimaginable ability, is sure to ignite the hearts and minds of a new generation."

The above was taken from Amazon.Com

I had wanted to read this book from the first time I had heard about it. To me it sounded like a book I could get into. When I started reading it a first I wasn't so sure because upon reading it I noticed that this book jumps from section to section which I had never encountered with a book before. BUT I was completely and utterly sucked into Arson's world. When I had the book in my hand I did not want to let it go. Arson Gable is not like other boys because he can decimate anyone with his temper. Arson can cause intense heat to radiate from his body and shoot from his fingers or any part of his body actually. Arson lives with his grandmother Kay who omg is bi-polar or something because she goes from zero to crazy in about two point two seconds. One minute she is like Arson you know I love you then the next second she is telling him he is the spawn of satan and wacking him across the face and cutting him open with the diamond from her ring. Then the new neighbors the Phoenix's enter Arson's orbit. They have a daughter Emery who wears a somewhat creepy mask. Arson and Emery seem like a mix-matched pair when in actuality they are the perfect couple who can help each other get over their own personal demons. This book kinda reminded me of Stephen King's book Firestarter but in a good way. With Firestarter it was about a little girl and she only had the abilities because her parents were experimented on but with Arson he was just born that way and not to mention we meet him as a teenager. This book is kinda like one big huge epiphany that we all have at some point in our lives. Everyone comes to the realization that something they wanted for so long isn't exactly what they really wanted. Case in point Arson is reduced to a mere puddle every time this girl Mandy is in his sights but when he finally has his shot with Mandy it is not her he is thinking about or wanting to be with it is actually Emery the girl next door. I am SO NOT doing this book justice. When I finished this book I was so needing to know that there would be a follow up book to continue were this book had left off which was in a state of OMG WTF. I was just feening for more of Arson and Emery's story and what was gonna happen now that this or that happened. I don't want to go into too much because I so do not want to give away the ending but OMG. This is definitely a root for the underdog with dark and mysterious under tones and not a fluffy bunny story were boy meets girl and they fall in love and everything is hunky dorey. This is a stand up for yourself and don't let anyone tear you down no matter how different you think you may be kind of a story. On a scale of 1-10 I give this book a 9 just because it took me a few to get used to the way the story flowed but THIS BOOK WAS SO WORTH READING in my opinion. I truly LOVED it. If you are looking for a book that you just can't put down then ARSON by Estevan Vega is the book for you.

    Alzheimer’s Memory Walk

Please help support Christina DelPriore walk for Alzheimer's in honor of my loving grandparents.

As some of you may know, Alzheimer’s is a disease that has affected my life in a tremendous way. Both of my maternal grandparents, Joseph and Hilda Del Priore, were diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Hilda today is still living with this disease. Joseph died in 2004.

My grandparents are both very influential people in my life. Without their hard work and love, I would not have the roof over my head. I would not know how to be a hard worker, and not know the importance of the family around you. Because of them, I have been able to achieve so much in my life so far, and they will always be in my mind as a work to complete my dreams in the future. In their honor, I decided last year to start Team Del Priore, and am continuing this year, because I want to do what ever I can to help contribute to the research that is being done.

As a nursing student, and just on my own time, I have done a lot of reading on Alzheimer’s disease. There is still a lot unknown about this disease, and with the rise of the baby boomers, it is projected that the number of diagnosed cases will rise. At the bottom of my message, there will be some facts provided by Alz.org.

If anyone wants to join or donate even the smallest amount, it will make a difference. Please help me put one foot forward, both literally and figuratively towards furthering Alzheimer’s research so great people in the future, like my grandparents, no longer have to suffer from this illness. It’s a heart breaking and fatal disease for both the loved one and their family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Currently more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's, and 78 million baby boomers are at risk – unless we find a way to change the course of this disease.

Thank you for supporting my efforts. We’re on the MOVE to end Alzheimer’s!

    Join Our Team

Hilda and Joseph Del Priore were married on January 11th 1953. They had three children, two girls and a boy. They bought a house in Somerville. Joseph worked many hard years, sometimes working two jobs, to support his family and make sure they had everything that they needed to live a happy life. During his free time, he always kept up with his garden. He worked hard at keeping his red rose bush and peach tree growing tall and healthy. Hilda took care of the kids, kept the cleanest house around, and enjoyed going out with her family and friends. She loved her children more than anything, and took many trips down to Florida to visit her sister. She loved scary movies and cooked possibly some of the best food around by memory.

However as they aged, all these wonderful memories were slowly taken away from them. Their honeymoon in New York, the birth of their children, their children dreams. All of the memories with their brothers and sisters, All of the holidays. They slowly slipped away. Alzheimer’s disease has a way of doing that. Joseph died in 2004, and Hilda is still living today. Unfortunately, there are millions of other Americans whose life followed this same tragic pattern.

Please help join us and walk on Sunday September 26th or make a donation in honor of Joseph and Hilda Del Priore. Our goal is to raise us much money as possible, as well as show our support for research to help prevent and cure this disease so amazing individuals like them no longer have to suffer from this fatal and devastating.

Everyday I watch my grandmother when my aunt goes to work or when my grandmother comes back from spending the day with other senior citizens. She has her good days and she has her bad days. I never know if she is going to remember who I am or even if she will remember my kids which are her great-grand kids. It breaks my heart to watch as I am sure anyone who has a loved one with Alzheimer's can attest to. If you would like to help support my grandparents, or anyone you know who is living with this terrible disease please click the link below to help join the fight against Alzheimer's. Only if we all work together can we help find a cure.

    Black Opals, Book 2

Undercover, deep in the heart of enemy territory, Lily Black has been charged with a mission: guard the life of Kerr Strome.

Like her warrior sisters, the Black Opals, Lily is a time traveller who shifts wherever she’s needed. She’ll do whatever it takes to foil an assassination attempt on Kerr by The New Order. There’s only one way to fly under his radar: pose as a man.

Kerr Strome is a warrior with his back to the wall. His planet is in chaos, his life threatened at every turn. The safe evacuation of his people from their war-ravaged planet depends entirely on his team of elite soldiers—and their ability to lie low for the next few days. The holding pattern might make him crazy, except for the intriguing new team member. A small soldier with big-time fighting skills, and something extra Kerr can’t quite figure out.

When Lily intercepts a New Order assassin—and a bullet meant for Kerr—her cover isn’t all that’s blown. Their pent-up desire reveals a bitter truth. The reason Kerr is marked for death? He is Lily’s destined mate. And the only way to save his life is to give her own.

Warning: Contains one hard-bodied soldier, illicit loving, a kick-ass lady and a little bit of time travel.

Review Of Serenity's Dream By Brita Addams

    Serenity's Dream
    Serenity's Dream by Brita Addams
    Genre: Historical
    Publisher: Noble Romance Publishing, LLC
    eBook: 163 pages
    isbn13: 9781605921235
Special Content Alert: Voyeurism, exhibitionism, spanking, BDSM, extreme anal play
    Age: Adult 18+

When Serenity Damrill is unjustly accused of murder, the only place she can think to hide is with her estranged husband, Lucien, at The Sapphire Club, a place where every sexual fantasy can be fulfilled. Hiding the truth, she returns after a ten year absence, ready to submit completely to her husband.

Lucien, owner of the club, though skeptical of his wife's sudden reappearance in his life, is willing to take her at her word, and he institutes an erotic regimen that Serenity quickly begins to crave. Lucien’s sexual prowess is beyond her wildest dreams and soon they fall into a frenzied, erotic life.

All is going well, until Serenity's accuser spots her at a Cyprian’s Ball.

The above was taken from GoodReads.Com and Noble Romance Publishing.Com

Serenity's Dream is my first foray into the world of BDSM and blatant Voyeurism and I have to say it was a raw honest look into a different life style that before this book I really had no "real" knowledge of. Serenity and Lucien's estranged relationship took center stage over The Sapphire Club's members sexual fantasies. That is not to say you are able to forget "what" the club is actually there for but it becomes more of an awakening to Lucien and Serenity's feelings and desires. They each discover new fantasies that they never knew they wanted or needed. Serenity comes to Lucien as a woman and not a scared young woman who was afraid of sex and all that came with it. Lucien discovered he has the capacity to actually love someone and adore someone without it being a hazardous force in his life. They learn to trust in themselves and each other. I was so consumed by this couple that their needs and desires became natural and not so foreign to me anymore. It became more of an extension of their love and commitment to each other. I for one can not wait to read Lord Decadent's Obsession and Chocolate, Tea And The Duchess the next two installments in this very erotic series. This book was a very HOT and STEAMY read and it let me throw my inhibitions to the wind. On a scale of 1-10 I give this book a 10. If you are looking for an erotic tale that will give you a voyeuristic look into the fantasies of others and possibly shed a little light on your "secret" desires then you need to read Serenity's Dream. Oh, you might want to keep a little fan handy for when the book gets a little HOT....^_^.

Because of her I can appreciate William Shakespeare, Jane Austen, Edgar Allen Poe, Victor Hugo, Julie Garwood, Stephen King, Michelle M. Pillow, Richelle Mead just to name a few. Lord Jeremy North's curse is to become a werewolf during every full moon, turning into a bloodthirsty monster that kills with no remorse. When he finds a woman nearly frozen upon his doorstep, his sense of honor compels him to help her, even at the risk he might kill her himself.

Lillian Merriweather hadn't planned to get caught in a blizzard while traveling the English countryside. Nor had she planned on finding refuge in a house full of secrets. But Lillian has secrets of her own. And what she's running from is not far behind...

Wild Rose Press Link To Purchase:

For the first time I am at a loss for words. This story had the potential to be a really great story but it came and went to quickly (no pun intended). Although I did enjoy the story it started a little slow for me but then just when I was really starting to getting into it, it was over and done with not to mention there were so many possible scenarios of things that could potentially be beginning to happen and it was just over. Jeremy and Lillian's story was too short. The blurb was great you know the thought of a werewolf and a witch coming together who knew what mysteries and secrets this could cause upon discovery. As for the chemistry of Jeremy and Lillian it was rushed way too fast. I mean, I believe in love at first sight but this was like I am attracted to you, and then you blink, and now I love you. I hate to be negative about a book but just because I may not appreciate it doesn't mean someone else won't with that being said on a scale of 1-10 I give this book a 6. I really can't give this book a higher rating because it was really just to rushed. The story line had great potential and if given enough of a chance this book could have been really great. I have been searching everywhere on the internet to find out if maybe this was just a short story. I only found one review on Amazon.com ( http://www.amazon.com/Witch-Wolf-ebook/dp/B003WQBDX2 ) that said this was a short story. If it is a short story then the events in this book would make more sense but, in the end I would still feel robbed of a truly great story.

3/5 Whips for me 5/5 for the story
