Book two in the Carte Blanche Series

Beth and Grey’s passionate battle of wills continues...

New York Merchant Prince Grey Sexton loves the audacious, spirited young temptress who seduced him in a Philadelphia bookseller’s and made passionate love to him in his carriage. Her fiery nature broke through his cold self-protection. But in a time of war and trade disruption, he cannot allow himself to be distracted. He vows to put business above all else in his life, including his bride.

Shocked and hurt by Grey's distance, Beth wonders whether he truly returns the burning love she feels for him. Beth demands that Grey prove he can truly change once and for all or else she will not start a family with him. But will the dark, sensual secrets she yet keeps repel this arrogant, self-controlled gentleman she has married?

The continuing saga of Grey and Beth did not disappoint. Natasha had me hooked from beginning to end. She knows how to set a scene and get the blood pumping. This erotic Historical has a little bit for everyone. Oh, and did I mention there was some very EROTIC, very HOT sex going on in this book.

In this sequel we get to see Grey and Beth formally announce their engagement, as well as, meet Dr. Joshua Wade a man from Beth's past who ends up causing a domino effect in Beth and Grey's lives. Although Grey and Beth love each other fiercely they seem to have some communication issues which are exacerbated  by Grey's need to focus solely on Sexton Shipping and nothing else. We also get to meet Grey's son Jan. He is a kid who is constantly seeking some form of acceptance and love from his father.

Beth and Grey are constantly coming together only to be ripped apart. Beth has so many revelations dropped on her doorstep throughout this book. We she her emotional journey and we also see a different side to Grey that is most unappealing to Beth. throughout the story we hear tidbits of what happened in Grey's former marriage. Towards the end all is revealed and the story comes full circle. There is SO MUCH I want to talk about but in doing so I raise the risk of ruining this awesome sequel for somebody.

If I had a paperback copy of this book I think I would have thrown it a time or two (thank goodness I was reading it on my laptop and knew better....lol) but that is because of Natasha expertise in writing such a wonderful book. It stirred such emotions in me. So many times I wanted to shake Grey and tell him to get his act together and other times I wanted to tell Beth to wake up and not be so blind to others actions towards her. On a scale from 1-10 I give White Lace & Promises a 10. I am so looking forward to reading book 3 in the series Alex's Angel. If you are looking for an erotic read, a great love story, loads of drama, and tons of buried secrets than this book is so for you. I encourage everyone adult 18+ to pick up a copy of White Lace & Promises and let Beth and Grey's love story fill you with hope and promises.

He never saw her coming…

Spencer Lark already knows too many secrets about Arizona Storm, including the nightmare she survived and her resulting trust issues. But in order to expose a smuggling ring—and continue avenging his own tragic past—the bounty hunter reluctantly agrees to make Arizona a decoy. Yet nothing has equipped him for her hypnotic blend of fragility and bravery, or for the protective instincts she stirs in him.

Arizona wants to reclaim her life, which means acting as bait to lure the enemy into a trap. Sure it's dangerous, especially with a partner as distractingly appealing as Spencer. But as their plan—and their chemistry—shifts into high gear, Arizona may discover there's an even greater risk in surrendering her heart to a hero….

I loved reading A Perfect Storm. The characters were great with their own distinct personalities. It was awesome to have such a bad a$$ female heroine, as well as, a tough male hero. I feel they balanced each other out.

Arizona Storm is no shrinking violet. True, she was dealt a bad hand in life, but she tries not to let that define her as a victim. She wants no ones pity and she always feels she needs to prove herself to people. Because of her past Arizona has major trust issues even with those people closest to her. She doesn't allow herself to set down roots because she always feels she doesn't fit in and doesn't deserve to be cared for.

Spencer Lark is a Bounty Hunter who is great at what he does. From the moment his path crossed Arizona's he has felt this need to try and "fix" what he feels may be broken with her. Since the death of his wife Spencer hasn't let himself get close to a woman emotionally. He feels he can love no other woman the way he loved his deceased wife. Unbeknownst to him, he starts to fall a$$ over tea kettle in love with Arizona. He has always believed that she was too young for him, but the more time he spends with her the more he doesn't want to let her go and age becomes nothing but a number..

In between this great love story you get a glimpse of the dark and sinister world of human trafficking. Arizona makes it her personal mission to rid the world of those vile people. Spencer wants to help put those guys out of business for good but he doesn't agree with using Arizona as bait to do it. That causes some tension between Arizona and her surrogate family.

I actually had a "damn" moment towards the end of this book. A Perfect Storm had some other really great things happening but I don't want to ruin the story for anyone. The only thing that had me going huh, was that when I started reading this book I had no idea that this was book 4 in a series. When I first started reading this book a few times I kept feeling like I was missing something when it came to the characters camaraderie. It wasn't enough of a factor to change my opinion of this book. On a scale from 1-10 I give A Perfect Storm a 10. It was a great story with strong characters. If you are looking for great kick a$$ characters, scummy lowlifes, undeniably chemistry, and just a great story then A Perfect Storm is the book for you. Everyone adult 18+ needs to run out and pick themselves up a copy. While you are picking up A Perfect Storm, if you don't already have them, you should also pick up When You Dare (book #1), Trace Of Fever (book 2), Savor The Danger (book 3), and The Guy Next Door (which has book 0.5 in it). Let Spencer and Arizona guide you through their Perfect Storm.

A sexy Scot. A mystical inheritance. What could go wrong?

Veterinarian Hannah MacPherson knows better than to believe in love at first--or any--sight. True, being swept away by Taggart de Gaelson to the vast Scottish castle she's mysteriously inherited is uber-romantic. The legacy is totally legitimate, and its messenger is big, broad-shouldered, and smokin' in more ways than one . . .

Too bad Taggart forgot to mention that Hannah's also a Guardian of magical dragons called the Draecna. And as Hannah's sworn otherworldly protector, Taggart is honor-bound not to lay a hand on her, no matter how close he gets. . .

But turning duty into pleasure is just too tempting. And for Hannah, mastering her powers and saving two worlds from evil will be way easier than showing one hardheaded warrior that breaking all the rules means they are eternally made for each other . . .

I totally got sucked into Maeve's book Eternity's Mark. It was a unique story with very likable characters. The way she sets a scene and her attention to detail is amazing. This book was so hard to put down. It had my attention from beginning to end.

Hannah McPherson is a very strong woman. She is a grieving widow who doesn't feel she will ever be at a place where she can ever love another man again. Taggart de Gaelson comes to Jasper Mills to persuade Hannah to come with him to see a castle in Scotland that she has inherited. Did I mention that Taggart hasn't told Hannah yet that she is the sacred Guardian to magical dragons called Draecna.

Once Hannah and Taggart get to Scotland I love how the whole story unfolds. From how Hannah reacts to the news about being a Guardian to how quickly she finds herself in love with Taggart. There is never a dull moment. Did I also forget to mention that Taggart harbors a very personal secret. A secret that could change the very foundation of his relationship with Hannah. Can you say oh my goodness (insert any g word you prefer....lol)! I would say more but I really don't want to ruin this story for anyone.

Maeve does a phenomenal job telling her story. My new mission is to get my hands on her book The Highlanders's Fury. I am so a fan of hers now. I feel Eternity's Mark has something for everyone. On a scale from 1-10 I give Eternity's Mark a big 10. If you are a fan of true love, mythical creatures, adventure, and an all out great story than this book is for you. Everyone adult 18+ or even a mature 17 year old (just because there is some hot sex in this book....^_^) must pick up a copy of Eternity's Mark. Let Hannah and Taggart's story transport you to Scotland through their love.

Review Of Must Love Vampires By Heidi Betts

Nightclub dancer Chloe Lamoureaux just met the man of her dreams: Aidan Raines is charming, considerate, rich, and hot. Of course, he's a little mysterious about his age. And his favourite drink. And he's not much for sunlight. But he's asked her to marry him, and she's ready to do it.

Her identical twin sister, Chuck, isn't so sure. Maybe being a tabloid reporter has skewed her judgment, but to Chuck, Aidan and his brother Sebastian look like honest-to-Dracula vampires. Especially Sebastian: beguiling, seductive, and just a hint of dangerous. Maybe she wouldn't mind him taking a little taste. But with Chloe's life in the balance, she has to know - do they want hot love or hot blood? Or maybe...a little of both?

Must Love Vampires was the perfect name for this book because you could not help but fall in love with Sebastian and Aidan Raines. These two HOT brothers make Vampires a must have. Heidi wrote a VERY HOT!!!! book that I had trouble putting down.

Chloe and Charlotte a.k.a. Chuck  Monroe are identical twin sisters. Though they share looks and a career surname of Lamorreaux their career paths have taken a completely different turn. Chloe is a Las Vegas Showgirl for the casino Inferno and Chuck is a reporter for the Sin City Tattler.

Sebastian and Aidan Raines are the hottest Vampire brothers to ever settle down in Sin City. Sebastian is the no non-sense brother who owns and operates the casino Inferno while Aidan is carefree and still trying to find his niche in life.

This book is broken up into two stories that start off relatively the same (as in starting point not the same words....lol) and then come together near the end. First half follows Chuck on her quest to find out if Sebastian is an honest to goodness Vampire. While the second half follows Chloe and Aidan on their way to eloping. What follows is a great fast past very HOT story. I can't say anything more without spoiling the story for everyone.

I love how Heidi crafted both sides of the book. I love how the perfect couple actually had some secrets while the other pair where liberated from their normal selves. She takes all the dark elements we all love about Vampires and makes it all so alluring. On a scale from 1-10 I give Must Love Vampires a 10. I thought it was super hot and sexy with everything I could want in a fast pace Vampire romance. If you are looking for hot Vampires/hot twins, unexpected love, secrets, and just a good read then you need to pick up this book. I encourage everyone adult 18+ to pick up a copy of Must Love Vampires and find out if the house truly always wins.
